Woman Leaves Abandoned Baby At The Airport With A Note

The woman had her baby after arriving at Tucson International Airport on January 18. Investigators believe she took her newborn past security and cleaned up near baggage claim. She then reportedly dropped the baby off along with a note near the rental car area.

The note, which was written in part from the perspective of her child, said "My mom had no idea she was pregnant. She is unable and unfit to take care of me. Please get me to the authorities so they can find me a good home."

The child, who is with the Arizona Department of Child Services, cannot release status of the child due to confidentiality laws.

Authorities said they want to identify and locate the woman to make sure she is okay. The surveillance video was released with the hope the public could help after investigators said they've exhausted all of their resources.
