Snoop Dogg Impersonates Today's Rappers Sound-Alike Flow. So, 21 Savage Calls "OG" Rappers Out! [Video]
21 Savage has had enough of the narrative that older generation rappers (which incidentally, “OG” could stand for) have been pushing in labelling “new school” music as trash. He has a point. 21 Savage is only 25, and his peers are more or less his age; but they have all been criticised or mimicked by old school rappers like Snoop Dogg.
21 Savage doesn’t want to take this criticism lying down, however. He’s come out in defense of his generation and said written an entire open letter. In that open letter, he makes some extremely valid points:"If the message in the previous generation of rap was so good why did so many of our parents abandon us for crack? Why we still killing each other? Don’t use us as the scapegoat. Our music is a reflection of what’s going on in our community and all we doing is using our talent to escape that community." The letter caught the attention of T.I. who reposted it and said:
